We went to Itteringham Mill to see their alternative energy use. Their website gives a lot of information about green energy production.
We were given a tour by one of the owners Peter Downes. He explained how the hydro turbine worked driven by the river. This generates most of the mill's electricity. There are also solar panels that heat the water used in the guesthouse and a heat pump that takes heat from the river to be used in the under floor heating system.

Learning about the hydro turbine.
