Meal times

When our young people arrive in the morning they get breakfast.  There is as much toast, butter and jam as they can eat and from time to time we cook bacon and have bacon rolls.  they make their own hot drinks - tea, coffee, capuccino and chocolate are all available.

One of the first things we talk about in our morning meeting is what we are going to eat for lunch and who is going to be responsible for the cooking.  Unless we are out all day we always try to sit down as a group and eat together.  For some of our young people this has been an unusual experience and for some to eat in public is still too difficult, but generally it has become routine.  We have some of our most interesting conversations over the dinner table.
